Final 2 games - we had a shot!  (from MGSA website)
by posted 06/26/2022

Reviewing our game stats from yesterday, we were pretty darn close to winning the second one and had a shot in the first game but our bats weren't too hot!

In the first game, Sally went 3-for-3 with two triples and a double. On the mound, Chloe went 6 innings, allowing no walks with 6 strikeouts!

In the second game, we led 8-3 after 2 innings - a score that was maintained through the 4th inning - but ended up falling 11-8 to Event Lab. Frannie went 3-for-4 with a triple and 2 runs scored. Chloe also had 3 hits, with 2 runs and 2 RBI. Sally (2 R, 1 BB) and Greta (2 RBI, 1 R) had 2 hits each. Everyone else on the team had 1 hit while Scarlett walked in all 3 plate appearances. Ella had an RBI, Frankie had 2 RBI and a run scored. On the mound, Frankie went 6 innings with 2 walks and 5 strikeouts.

We finished the season 14-14, which is pretty darn good! All the kids had a lot of at-bats and all helped the team to a successful season. Thanks everyone for a great year. Kelvin, Brian and myself really enjoyed working with the girls. We couldn't have asked for a better group!

Great season ladies!  (from MGSA website)
by posted 06/25/2022

We gave it our all today but came up just short! I was really impressed with everyone's effort especially in fielding and baserunning. We made a ton of great plays in the field!

I'll get some season notes out tomorrow evening, before our big team party on Monday.

If anyone wants to come check out the High School championship tomorrow, it's at 4:45 pm on Legacy 2. I'll be there - first 3 players to find me gets a free burger or brat!
