Hey, Everyone—

As it stands right now, we are looking at a forfeit for tomorrow’s game unless any player happens to have a younger sibling registered with MBA who is interested and available to sub for us. 

Per league rules, we need at least 8 players per game, or we forfeit. I have 6 confirmed yes’s and 5 no’s for Saturday, out of 12 total players. I am still waiting to hear from multiple parents regarding Sunday’s game. 

I want our players to enjoy this season. Starting off with a forfeit/loss can be kind of blow for the kids. I am not necessarily focused on winning, but I do realize how that can impact the energy and enthusiasm brought by the boys to the field. 

To make sure I am following all rules regarding innings pitched, among other factors, it takes me about 30 minutes to draft a lineup for each game. To plan for Sunday, I need to know about Saturday. So, I would really appreciate hearing from you by end of batting cages on Thursdays via the app whether your player will be at games for the weekend. 

Please let me know if you have any questions. I really just want the best for our team and thank you for your help with this. If you have anyone that can sub tomorrow, let me know.

Hello, Everyone—

As you might have seen from league emails, there are no practices or batting cages this week due to field conditions. It sounds like they’re hoping to give us the go-ahead for next week, but I will keep you all posted. 

When we do meet for practice, please have your player bring the following:

Glove

Bat

Cleats 

Helmet

Water bottle

Sports cups are recommended to be worn by all players and are required for any player who is interested in playing the catcher position

Hey Everyone, 

I would like to welcome you and your player to Faye and Associates 10/11 Community baseball team! My name is Benjamin Santella or Coach Ben. I am looking to having a fun, exciting and safe season. 

The Faye and Associates team is made up of 10 and 11 year-olds, three coaches, and a team manager. I’d like to ask if there is a willing parent to volunteer as our Team Manager. This individual is integral to our team’s success and helps by coordinating various needs. If you’re interested, let me know and I will connect you with the league.

Practice: Tuesdays from 7:00-8:30pm @ Clear Springs, Field 1 

Batting cage: Thursdays, 7:00-8:00pm @ Freeman 3, Cage 3

Our first practice is Tuesday April 14th. 

!! Please respond ASAP with your player’s preferred jersey size (YL or AS) and their height & weight !!

!! Consistent with years past, we will be personalizing player hats with last names. Please be sure the last name on MBA’s website/roster is spelled correctly as this is what I will use for personalization. Cost is $7/player and can be sent via Venmo @Amy-Santella-1 If cash is preferred, that’s okay too !!
